12 July	book	The Road by Cormac McCarthy - Zoomed through it in a couple of days, partially because of the lack of punctuation, and partially because it was excellent.
11 July	concert	Vancouver Symphony Orchestra at Deer Lake Park - Complete with the Imperial March from Star Wars as a bonus track at the end.
11 July	football match	Nederlands vs. Spain - Watched in a Greek restaurant in Canada with Swiss and Indonesian company. Good game, gutted for the Dutch though...
11 July	game of football	in Trafalgar Park - Second time out with this group, with marked improvement in my fitness. Still tactically rubbish at 11 a side though.
10 July	book	Murder in Mesopotamia by Agatha Christie - Complete with classic unmasking finale
9 July	beach	Jericho Beach - Last minute clouding over dented it slightly, but not cold.
9 July	restaurant	Burgoo - Lunch with Jo, in a nice little bistro, albeit with a slightly wintery menu.
8 July	beach	Jericho Beach - Possibly my first ever swim in the Pacific. Really nice, and good to see Jo back too.
