7 March	Atomium in Brussels - Just as enjoyable for a second visit - and (bonus) I hadn't just had my camera nicked this time.
6 March	Cantillion Brewery in Brussels - Interesting tour of a very traditional brewery, with a certifiable guide.
7 February	Hatshepsut's temple - Totally different to the other temples, it makes a great spectacle from a distance, although there's not a lot to see when you get close up
7 February	Valley of the Kings - One of my favourite visits. A spooky place, with amazingly vivid colours inside the tombs giving it a different feel to any of the temples
6 February	Karnak - The big daddy of temple complexes, including the amazing pillared Great Hypostyle hall, and several detailed obelisks
6 February	Edfu - Like a supersized Philae, accompanied by some rightly famous beautiful granite statues of Horus
5 February	Kom Ombo temple - A typical temple, this time in its original position though, with large expanses of hieroglyphs spared from the ravages of time and Christians
3 February	St Simeon's Monastery - A fun camel ride to a remote and dilapidated monastery, enlivened by an insane guide with barely any English and lots of miming
2 February	Nag Gharb Siheil - A wonder round a Nubian village, accompanied by dinner in one of the houses.
2 February	Abu Simbel - A 2:30am start to cross the desert to two temples for Rameses II and his wife. Again relocated, but superbly done.
1 February	Philae Temple - Defaced by Christians (a running theme it turned out) but impressive nonetheless. All the more so for having been relocated from a submerged island.
1 February	Aswan High Dam
31 January	The Pyramids in Giza - Amazing start to the trip, a wonder of the world on the first morning.
17 January	Cabinet War Rooms
13 September	Tokyo City View in Ropppngi Hills, Tokyo - Twilight from the 56th floor, after a brief catchup with Porge.
3 September	Metropolitan Government Offices in Tokyo - 45 floors up for free. Ace.
3 September	Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo - First shrine of the trip; The one for Japan's WW2 soldiers.
3 September	Imperial Palace Gardens in Tokyo - Very pretty, peaceful and Japanese.
